Putin and Macron Express Willingness to Coordinate Various Aspects of Nagorno-Karabakh Resolution

Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation during which they discussed, among other issues, the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Kremlin's press service issued a statement regarding this.

Vladimir Putin informed about the implementation of the trilateral agreements concerning Nagorno-Karabakh dated November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021. It was noted that the situation in the region remains stable, mainly due to the presence of Russian peacekeepers.

Prerequisites have been established for the restoration of normal economic activity and the unblocking of economic and transport links. The Russian president emphasized the willingness for more active involvement of European partners, particularly France, in addressing the humanitarian issues faced by the populations affected by military actions in the region.

Both sides expressed their readiness to coordinate various aspects of the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, including along the lines of the OSCE Minsk Group.
