Czech Republic Closes Visa Sections in Its Consulates in Russia
The Czech Republic is temporarily closing the visa issuance sections in all its consulates in Russia (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg) starting July 1. This information was conveyed by the diplomatic representation, as reported by EADaily.
“The registration of applications for long-term visas, long-term residence, and obtaining a permanent place of residence is canceled. The processing of applications submitted until June 30, 2021, is also temporarily suspended. The issuance of previously approved visas is also halted,” the statement read.
It is noted that the decision is due to the worsening epidemiological situation in Russia. It is currently unknown when the visa sections will resume their work.
