Body Found in Forest Hanging from Tree by Seatbelt: Investigative Committee

On July 1, 2021, at 09:30 AM, a citizen reported that there was a body hanging from a tree in the Pushkinian bends. An investigative-operational group immediately headed to the scene and found a "Mitsubishi Colt" vehicle with its trunk open in the third bend of the old road of the Pushkinian mountain pass on the Stepanavan-Vanadzor highway. Approximately 25 meters away from the vehicle, in the forest, the body of a man was discovered hanging from a tree by his seatbelt.

During the investigative preparatory actions, the identity of the deceased was established, revealing that he was a resident of Nor Hajn in the Kotayk province, born in 1988. A criminal case has been opened at the Stepanavan investigative division of the Lori regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee under Part 1 of Article 110 of the RA Criminal Code.

As a result of the investigative actions and operational-search measures taken, several circumstances have been clarified. During the pre-investigation stage, examinations of the scene and the body were conducted; several individuals were interrogated; the clothing worn by the victim at the time of the incident was seized; and samples were collected. A forensic examination of the body has been appointed to clarify significant circumstances related to the criminal case. The investigation is ongoing, and necessary measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances of the case and ensure an objective and comprehensive examination.
