VIDEO: Man with Grenade Detained
On the night of June 30, community police officers from the Chambarak division, while on patrol, noticed a man exhibiting suspicious behavior on September 21 Street in Chambarak.
They immediately approached and discovered that he was holding a grenade with a detonator. Without losing a moment, they seized the grenade from the man's hands, preventing potential consequences.
The man was taken to the police station, where his identity was confirmed as a 35-year-old resident of Chambarak. He was tested for sobriety at a medical facility and found to be in an intoxicated state.
The grenade, classified as “F-1” type with a detonator, has been sent to the Gegharkunik regional police department for examination. The circumstances of the incident, including how the grenade was acquired, are under investigation.
