Major Car Accident in Lori Province: Truck Loaded with 20 Tons of Apricots Turned Over Near 'Satan's Bridge', Injuries Reported

On July 1, a major car accident occurred in Lori Province. Around 07:30, near the famous 'Satan's Bridge' on the Vanadzor-Alaverdi highway, a DAF brand truck, for reasons still unknown, veered off the roadway, collided with concrete protective barriers, and overturned.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, one person was taken to the 'Vanadzor' medical center with injuries.

Emergency services responded promptly with a firefighting and rescue unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Lori Regional Rescue Administration. Officers from the 5th platoon of the 2nd police battalion also arrived at the scene, led by platoon commander Lyudvig Ghondilyan and squad commander Arman Sukisyan.

Investigations at the site were supervised by senior investigator Mukoyan from the same unit, who is preparing materials regarding the incident.

According to the photographer, the truck was loaded with 20 tons of apricots.
