Azerbaijan-Pakistan Military-Political Cooperation Cannot Fail to Worry Armenia
Recent deepening of the Azerbaijan-Pakistan military-political cooperation cannot fail to worry Armenia, as the dictator of Baku, while speaking about so-called 'peace', is, on the other hand, taking clear steps aimed at preparing for war against us. This was stated by Iranologist Vardan Voskanyan on his Facebook page.
“This also concerns the recent visit of a Pakistani representative military delegation to Baku, led by General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the commander of the Pakistan Army's Ground Forces, who was also received personally by Baku’s dictator.
Despite the scarcity of information regarding the issues discussed during the negotiations, it is likely that the main issues raised during the visit concerned the training of Azerbaijani special forces to conduct combat operations in mountainous conditions, an area in which Pakistan has considerable experience, considering its military clashes with India over the Kashmir issue.
Thus, it is evident that Azerbaijan is trying to restructure its army not only according to the Turkish model but also based on Pakistani experience, which involves creating numerous light infantry units alongside highly mobile mountain units capable of addressing challenges in hard-to-reach mountainous and forested areas.
Given the peculiarities of the ethnic-clan structure of Pakistan's military-political system, it is not superfluous to note that judging by the surname of the Pakistani general, he descends from one of the well-known ethnic groups of the Indian subcontinent—the Jats, which distinguished historian Nikolay Adonts identifies with the threads of the Armenian historical tradition,” he wrote.
