Emergency Incident in Yerevan: 24-Year-Old Driver Found on River Hrazdan Bank Among Rocks

Today, June 29, an emergency incident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 21:45, the Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue service received a call that a vehicle had fallen into the Hrazdan River gorge. According to shamshyan.com, it was determined that 24-year-old Hakob Karaoghlan, a resident of Yerevan, had driven his Mercedes CLK 200 into basalt curbs and partially ended up on the bank of the Hrazdan River among the rocks.

Fortunately, preliminary information indicates that there were no injuries. An emergency medical team from Yerevan's 1-03 ambulance service quickly arrived at the scene, but the driver refused medical assistance, stating that he felt well. Senior Inspector Ashot Sargsyan from the 5th squad of the Patrol Police's 1st battalion is preparing materials regarding the incident. The driver underwent a sobriety test on site, which revealed he was sober. The rescuers retrieved the vehicle using a special cable to bring it to a safe location.
