Accident, but this time on the Yerevan-Sevan highway
The Gegharkunik Regional Crisis Management Center received a call on June 29 at 10:19 AM reporting an accident on the Yerevan-Sevan highway near a police checkpoint. There were reported injuries.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ Information and Public Relations Department, a firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue service was dispatched to the scene.
It was revealed that at kilometer 58 of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, a Nissan Tiida vehicle (driver R.A., born in 1983) left the roadway and collided with a roadside support. Before the rescuers arrived, two passengers were taken to Sevan Medical Center by local residents.
The rescuers disconnected the vehicle’s battery, closed the gas cylinder valve, and assisted three passengers into an ambulance. The injured were hospitalized at the Sevan Medical Center.
Information from Sevan Medical Center indicates that among the injured are A.S. (born in 2010), V.M. (born in 2008), A.P. (born in 2008), D.P. (born in 2009), and S.S. (born in 2009). The doctors have assessed the health condition of the injured as stable.
