Major Accident in Gegharkunik Region: Head-On Collision of Opel and Renault Results in 2 Fatalities

Today, June 28, a major and tragic car accident occurred in the Gegharkunik region. Around 6:30 PM, on the 24th kilometer of the Sevan-Martuni-Getap highway, in the administrative area of the village of Hairavank, an Opel and a Renault collided head-on.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, 2 individuals died at the scene, and 4 others were transported to the 'Gavar' medical center with various degrees of bodily injuries.

The first to assist the injured were citizens and the rapid response team from the Gavar Fire and Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who arrived promptly.

The police and investigative division are working to determine the identities of the deceased, drivers, and the injured.
