Waste Burning in 2 Hectare Area of Armavir City Landfill
On June 26, at 21:52, the Armavir regional crisis management center received a report that a fire had broken out at the landfill in Armavir city. This was announced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia.
A firefighting unit from the regional rescue administration of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that waste was burning over an area of about 2 hectares. Two additional firefighting units were also sent to the site from the regional rescue administration.
The firefighting efforts included the involvement of one tractor and one water truck from the city administration. One firefighting unit from the regional rescue administration and employees from the municipal department of Armavir are currently on duty at the landfill.
