One of the Vulnerable Directions for Such a Breakthrough is Armenia and Artsakh: Vardan Voskanian

Any attempt to destabilize the situation in Central Asia, and the Taliban's presence at a border checkpoint with Tajikistan is such a process, is directly aimed at Russia, whose presence in Armenia and Artsakh is unfortunately the only real deterrent factor against the Azerbaijani-Turkish alliance at this moment. This was stated by Iranologist Vardan Voskanian on his Facebook page.

“It seems that the transfer of control of the Sherkhan Bandar border post between Afghanistan and Tajikistan to the Taliban is an event that is taking place far from us and has no connection to us. However, any attempt to destabilize the situation in Central Asia, and the Taliban's presence at the border checkpoint with Tajikistan is such a process, is directly aimed at Russia, whose presence in Armenia and Artsakh is, unfortunately, the only real deterrent factor against the Azerbaijani-Turkish alliance at this moment.”

If we slightly broaden our horizons, we will get a picture where Pakistan, currently supporting the Taliban behind the scenes, is tightening its military ties with Azerbaijan and Turkey day by day and, having participated in the 44-day war, is already involved in the anti-Russian front, not only in Central Asia but also in the South Caucasus.

In other words, different components are functioning under a single program, the goal of which is to open multiple fronts for Russia at once, which may result in Moscow's response resources not being sufficient, leading to a breakthrough.

Moreover, among the vulnerable points for such a breakthrough is Armenia and Artsakh, where if Russia is to solve the issue of retreat or expansion, our national existence is at stake. And what are we doing? Simply nothing. Only the hammering noise of populism, while Armenia and Artsakh are caught between the hammer and the anvil of major geopolitical interests,” Voskanian concluded.
