No Fraud Detected at Polling Station Mentioned by 'Armenia' Alliance, Error Revealed Without Recount: Ioannissyan
The 'Armenia' alliance has raised a significant uproar regarding polling station 23/47, claiming that the votes had been multiplied by ten as a result of the recount. Daniel Ioannissyan stated on his Facebook page that the independent observer was the first to raise concerns about this polling station and contacted the Central Electoral Commission (CEC). There was no fraud, and the issue was identified without a recount.
“In that polling station, 802 people participated in the voting, but the sum of the votes for all parties, including invalid votes, amounted to 712. The recorded votes for the 'Armenia' alliance was 10, whereas it should have been 100 (which would have matched the numbers). In the official minutes of the polling station, it was noted that there were 100 votes for the alliance, but the preliminary data released by the CEC showed only 10. It is evident that this is an input error, similar to several other polling stations,” Ioannissyan explained.
For instance, at polling station 4/2, the Civil Contract party reportedly received 390 votes, but the numbers published by the CEC indicated only 39 votes. That figure has also been verified and restored. I would like to remind that we announced yesterday morning that due to input errors, the Civil Contract party lost nearly 2000 votes and the 'Armenia' alliance about 700 votes. We had identified such errors at polling stations 4/2, 4/3, 4/9, 4/16, 4/44, 9/55, 10/43, 14/8, 23/42, 23/47, 24/4, 25/34, 33/31, and 35/30. Such errors always occur, but they are inevitably resolved during the re-entry of the minutes before the final results are published,” Ioannissyan added.
