Dividing Blacks and Whites is Unacceptable, the Enemy Wants Just That: Hovhikyan

In recent days, a wave of protests has emerged in Artsakh against the current government. Journalist Niri Hovhikyan wrote about this.

I understand that people are disappointed by the close ties of Arayik Harutyunyan and the ruling party of Armenia and feel betrayed. However, more than ever, stability is needed in Artsakh today. If Arayik Harutyunyan must leave, it should be done through a stable and constructive process, without clashes and divisions.

Instability and populism in Armenia led to the collapse of state institutions and the loss of security systems. This must not be repeated in Artsakh. Stability is necessary in Artsakh until we understand how the political situation in Armenia develops.

I believe that the authorities in Artsakh must also realize that the division between blacks and whites is unacceptable; it is destructive and it is precisely what the enemy wants. Dear residents of Artsakh, do not become a tool for our enemies.
