VIDEO: The Investigation Committee Releases Footage from the Tragic Shorja Car Accident

On June 21, 2021, around 18:00, on the 31 km segment of the Tsovagyugh-Shorja-Vardenis highway, a contract serviceman from the Armenian Ministry of Defense's military unit lost control of his "VAZ 2121" vehicle. The car veered off the road, struck the barriers, and overturned. As a result, one of the passengers, born on March 6, 2020, died from injuries sustained in the crash. Additionally, six other passengers were transported to the "Chambarak Medical Center" with varying degrees of injuries.

An investigation has been launched by the fifth garrison investigative division of the Military Investigative Department of the Armenian Investigative Committee under Article 242, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. A preliminary investigation is underway.
