Sergey Shoigu Congratulates Vagharshak Harutyunyan

On June 21, the acting Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Vagharshak Harutyunyan, had a remote conversation with the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergey Shoigu.

During the conversation, Shoigu congratulated Harutyunyan on the occasion of the snap parliamentary elections in Armenia and the victory of the ruling team.

Harutyunyan and Shoigu discussed the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the Gegharkunik and Syunik provinces and pathways to resolve it. The defense ministers of Armenia and Russia expressed satisfaction with the dynamic development of Armenian-Russian cooperation in the defense sector and emphasized the importance of timely and complete implementation of the programs outlined in this direction.

The phone conversation also addressed regional issues.
