Artak Davtyan on Allegations of Using the Army in Elections
Commenting on baseless accusations is difficult. This was stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Artak Davtyan, during a conversation with journalists today, June 22, addressing the opposition's allegations that the army was used by the government during these elections.
“It is said out of habit. The videos or statements that have circulated on the Internet were reviewed, and the Ministry of Defense issued a statement, and we did not see any confirming materials. If there are specific materials, the law enforcement agencies are working very actively in this direction, and they should present the facts. At the same time, I suggest to them that if they cannot prove or confirm it, at least apologize to the armed forces, and such unfounded statements should not be made,” said the Chief of the General Staff.
