Teenagers Shatter Almast-Shorja Train Windows, Strike Poles on Tracks, No Injuries Reported: SC Railway
The South Caucasian Railway company once again reminds citizens of the necessity to observe safety rules on the railway.
"This is not a place for games, jokes, or pranks; it poses genuine risks to the lives and health of passengers and the safety of trains. Unfortunately, not everyone understands this. For example, yesterday teenagers shattered the windows of the Almast-Shorja train. At that moment, the train, full of passengers, was departing from Yerevan. Fortunately, no one was injured.
These same teenagers struck poles on the tracks, which could lead to serious consequences, including train accidents and harm to passengers' health. Thanks to the vigilance of railway workers, it was possible to avoid dangerous consequences this time. However, the line between pranks and vandalism—even criminal acts—is very delicate in this case, and it is easy to cross," the statement read.
It was noted that the South Caucasian Railway will continue to work with local authorities and schools near the railway to explain the dangers of such "pranks." "Nonetheless, we urge parents to monitor their children who often play near the railway, as school and railway workers may not always be able to control or influence their behavior."
