Body of 31-Year-Old Man Found in Canal After Morning Search
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, operatives from the Central Division of the Police, led by Division Chief Arman Papyan, along with two rescue teams from the Special Rescue Operations Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, under the command of Hambardzum Vartumyan, and representatives from the Water Economy Company, found the body of 31-year-old Gor S. from Yerevan in the Artashat Canal, near the "Hrazdan" sports complex, following several hours of search operations.
He had been missing since the morning and was searched for by the operatives from the Central Division and rescue personnel who later joined the search. To aid in the recovery, the flow of water in the area was temporarily stopped by the management of the Water Economy, and when the water level receded, the body was discovered.
Currently, the investigative team from the Investigative Committee of Armenia's central and Norq-Marasht investigative departments is conducting an examination of the scene. Whether this incident is an unfortunate accident or something else will become clear after a series of examinations. Investigative materials are being prepared on the case.
