Identities Revealed of Those Who Settled Accounts Near the Grave of 'Thief-in-Law' Marso

The Investigative Committee has issued a statement regarding the shootings and murder that occurred in the Ararat region. The statement reads, 'On June 13, 2021, at 19:15, the Ararat Division of the Police of Armenia received a report from the Vedi Medical Center that a man was brought to the hospital with gunshot wounds.'

As a result of the measures taken, it was established that the deceased man was a 34-year-old resident of Ararat city. At the same time, a report was received at the Ararat Division of the Police stating that gunshots had been heard from the cemetery area of the Goravan community in Ararat province.

During the inspection of the scene, numerous gunshot wounds were discovered on a 'VAZ 21099' car located in front of the grave of the 'Thief-in-law' Marso, whose real name was Marzpetuni Petrosyan. A total of 44 bullets of 7.62x54mm caliber, 12 bullets of 7.62x39mm caliber, 6 shotgun cartridge shells, 1 bullet of 7.62x54mm caliber, remnants of a shotgun cartridge, two plastic pieces of shotgun cartridge, a knife, and blood-like stains were found.

On the same day, a criminal case was initiated by the Vedi Investigative Division of the Ararat Regional Investigative Department under Articles 104, Part 1 and 235, Part 1 of the Armenian Criminal Code, with the investigation assigned to a specialized group.

As a result of the measures taken, it became clear that on the same day at around 18:55, the sons of Marzpetuni Petrosyan and their friend had arranged to meet at the cemetery with the 34-year-old man and his friends for clarifications. An argument broke out between them, which turned into a shootout, resulting in the death of the 34-year-old man.

Additionally, on June 14 at 00:15, another report was received at the Ararat Division of the Police from the Vedi Medical Center that a 1982-born man had been admitted with gunshot wounds. He is one of the friends of the deceased 34-year-old man and was transported to the Erebuni Medical Center for surgery.

Investigative and procedural actions are underway to clarify all the circumstances of the case. The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
