14-Year-Old Hospitalized After Accident in Surenavan, Condition Critical
On June 16, in the village of Surenavan, Ararat province, two vehicles collided, resulting in a 14-year-old boy being transported to the Ararat Medical Center, and later transferred to the 'Surp Astvatsamayr' Medical Center in Yerevan. This was reported by Gevorg Derdzyan, the spokesperson for the medical center.
"The child has multiple injuries, including fractures of facial bones, a brain concussion, vertebral fractures, pelvic fractures, and abdominal trauma. He has undergone surgery and all necessary medical interventions. His condition is assessed as critical, and he is in the intensive care unit. The child is under the supervision of doctors; just the day before, he was visited by Gevorg Simonyan, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia," he wrote.
Earlier reports indicated that a Toyota Land Cruiser with state license plates 36 RO 720, driven by the Minister of Territorial Administration Suren Papikyan, collided at high speed with an oncoming Niva vehicle near the village of Surenavan. As a result of the impact, the 14-year-old minor in the vehicle sustained serious injuries.
