Today the 300-Year Dream of the Turks was Fulfilled: The Leader of Turkey Stepped Foot in the Fortress City of Shushi

Turkologist Varuzhan Geghamyan wrote on his Facebook page: “For more than 300 years, the leaders of the Ottoman Empire, and later the Young Turk figures, aimed to conquer the heart of the mountainous region of Artsakh, the fortress city of Shushi, in order to gain control over the entire region. Even in the absence of a state, the Armenian forces of Artsakh managed to resist these attempts by the Turkish armies.

Today, the 300-year dream of the Turks was fulfilled as the leader of Turkey stepped foot in the fortress city of Shushi, and from today onward, they are directing their imperial gaze towards the remaining 25% of Artsakh and Syunik. This became possible because in 2020 individuals devoid of patriotism came to power in Armenia, who see no value in Armenia or the Armenian world and are ready to concede all of our values to the Turkish-Azeris.

Today, on the day of the Armenian flag, the de facto leader of the Armenian state made no statement condemning or criticizing Turkey and Azerbaijan on this occasion, and no Armenian official addressed this issue. Not a soul—from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Security Council. Moreover, at the same time, the capitulator and his team are trying to force the opposition in Syunik, which is the next Turkish dream.

This is precisely why we insist that N. Pashinyan is a pro-Turkish capitulator. Therefore, on June 20, the pro-Turkish authorities must be removed to prevent the realization of the next dream of the Turks.”
