Russian Side Informed That Such Maps Do Not Exist: Muradov Was Prepared to Bring Everyone, Says Boris Avagyan
Armenian officials have informed the Russian side that no maps of mined areas exist. This was stated by Colonel Boris Avagyan in an interview with 'Hraparak.'
It should be noted that Nikol Pashinyan provided Baku with maps of the mined sections of Akna in exchange for bringing back 15 prisoners of war to Armenia. According to Avagyan, the Russian side had planned to use those maps to bring everyone back, but the Armenian side stated that such maps do not exist.
"The issue of maps of mined areas was raised by Muradov on behalf of the Russian Ministry of Defense in order to exchange all the prisoners of war for these maps. The Armenian Ministry of Defense stated that such a map does not exist. Then it became clear that these maps were taken by Pashinyan himself, because I contacted the central apparatus of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and inquired whether they had approached the Armenian National Security Service regarding these maps. I was informed that yes, they did, and they received a response that such maps do not exist," Avagyan said.
