Requirements for First Graders' Admission to School: Ministry of Education
After online registration, parents must submit the required documents for their children entering the first grade according to the procedures established by Order 1640-N. This was reported to Armenpress by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
To admit a student to school, parents must provide the following:
- A request addressed to the principal;
- A copy of the child's public service number or a certificate confirming the absence of such number as stipulated by law. The copy with the principal's note “It is correct with the applicant” is kept in the student's personal file;
- Two 3x4 size photographs.
The Ministry of Education has received reports that some schools are demanding medical certificates, the online registration code for the child, etc. Attention: Apart from the aforementioned documents, the school has no right to require any additional documents. Parents can submit the documents to the school every working day,” the statement said.
