Former High-Ranking Police Officer Targeted by Facebook User in Extortion Attempt

The National Security Service's investigative department is preparing materials in connection with a former deputy chief of police, a general-major of police. According to Shamshyan.com, the former high-ranking police officer reported to the NSS that a Facebook user had sent private messages to his Facebook page, demanding that he transfer a large sum of money within two days, or else threaten to publish defamatory material about him.

According to reports, the former police chief refused to comply with the extortion demands of the Facebook user and approached the NSS. In the interest of the investigation, we are not disclosing the identity of the extortionist or the general-major of police at this time.
