A Court Department Official Suspected of Embezzling Millions Through His Wife

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, operational information received by the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Division of the Criminal Police Department indicates that one of the senior officials of the Judicial Department accepted his wife as an employee through an official decree during the period from August 2017 to August 2018.

It has also been reported to the police that this court department official was aware that his wife did not attend work and did not fulfill her job responsibilities. Subsequently, he personally, along with other officials, prepared, approved, and certified with his signature, official documents with false contents known as “working hours calculation reports,” which contained false information regarding his wife's attendance and actual working hours. The falsified documents were then circulated for payment, resulting in an embezzlement or misappropriation of approximately 3 million 300 thousand drams from the state.

In the interest of the preliminary investigation, the identities of this court department official and his wife are not being disclosed at this time.
