Which Political Force Are Criminal Bosses Working For? - "Haykakan Jamanak"

In the electoral processes, criminal bosses, or "thieves in law," have always played a crucial role. Typically, they support the authorities, but this time, according to our information, they have decided to take a neutral stance as much as possible. At least, a significant part of the criminal world has chosen not to interfere in the electoral process and will not work in favor of any force.

There are a few exceptions. For instance, Rustam Stepanyan, known as Chagh Rustam, and his gang, under the patronage of their government influencer, Haik Sargsyan, are actively working in favor of the ruling Civil Contract party. Don Pippo's brother has passed away, and he will mourn for 40 days. Vstrechi Aper has returned to his native Kaghsi and stated that he will not interfere in anything.

According to some reports, Ara and Alik Banduryan from Noratus are working in support of Prime Minister Pashinyan, also under the coordination of Haik Sargsyan. We were informed that in recent days, the authorities have allowed various representatives of the criminal world who were abroad for different reasons, and whose entry to Armenia was banned, to return to support them.

Just days ago, several criminal and local authorities were invited to the police, where they were offered to support Pashinyan. However, most of them declined the offer. The authorities stated that at least they should promise not to support Kocharian. Some agreed, while others mentioned that they have friends among the opposition forces and need to assist them. A small portion believes that "this is a matter of homeland, not politics" and they cannot stand aside.
