Armenian Map Presented Without Artsvashen: ‘Protecting Citizen Rights’
A new demonstration has been organized that violates the rights of Armenian citizens and visually disrupts Armenia's territorial integrity. During the televised debates broadcasted by Public Television, featuring representatives of parties and alliances registered by the Central Electoral Commission in the snap parliamentary elections of 2021, the map of Armenia was presented without Artsvashen.
This was reported by the NGO ‘Protecting Citizen Rights’. It was previously noted that the political forces standing alongside the Armenian map without Artsvashen simply confirm that they have an attitude and stance that contradicts the rights of Armenian citizens and tolerates a visual violation of Armenia's territorial integrity, which could face severe criticism, public condemnation, and even criminal proceedings.
Consequently, we demand that the Central Electoral Commission, Public Television, and the organizers of the televised debates immediately correct the Armenian map to include Artsvashen, an inseparable part of Armenia. We call on the parties and alliances participating in the June 20, 2021 early parliamentary elections to demonstrate principle, prevent the organized provocation against the political community, and also demand that Artsvashen be included in the Armenian map during the televised debates.
