The Situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Border is Being Monitored Closely: Stanislav Zas

The Secretary General of the CSTO, Stanislav Zas, stated that the situation on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border is being monitored closely. “The situation on the ground is gradually stabilizing. The important thing is that there have been no shootings in Nagorno-Karabakh anymore,” Zas said at an OSCE forum.

The CSTO Secretary General also announced that the situation in the border areas of Armenia's Syunik province is under special attention. “We welcome the parties' intentions to resolve border issues peacefully. We see a prospect for establishing long-term peace there. At the same time, the risks of escalation remain,” Zas added.
