How Elections Will Be Held in Correctional Facilities

Today, the Central Electoral Commission approved the decision to set the start of voting for the 2021 snap parliamentary elections in correctional facilities. The chairman of the CEC, Tigran Mukuchyan, noted that due to the number of voters in correctional facilities, voting will start later.

The CEC decided that voting in the 'Nubarashen' correctional facility will begin at 12:00 PM, while in the 'Armavir' correctional facility it will start at 11:00 AM. Voting in the other 10 correctional facilities will commence at 3:00 PM.

It should be noted that there are 12 correctional facilities operating in the republic, with the 'Armavir' and 'Nubarashen' facilities being the most crowded.
