Extraordinary Incident in Yerevan: 20-Year-Old Brother Attempted to Strangle His 14-Year-Old Sister with a Belt

An extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan on June 9. Around 16:30, the police received a call from the outpatient clinic of the ‘Saint Grigor Narekatsi’ Medical Center, reporting that a child had been admitted with diagnoses including ‘swelling of the ocular region, subcutaneous hematoma on both sides, and hematoma signs on the right side of the neck.’ According to Shamshyan.com, the child admitted was 14-year-old Sona S., a resident of Yerevan.

Sources inform that officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nor Nork Police Station, acting on hot leads, established that Sona's brother, 20-year-old T. S., attempted to strangle his sister with a belt on June 7.

In connection with the case, an investigation has been initiated at the Nor Nork Police Station. A forensic examination has been ordered by the investigator.
