Brawl in Yerevan Cafe Involves Members of the Civil Contract Campaign
A brawl occurred in a cafe on Ghapanzyan Street in the Arabkir administrative district. According to reliable information obtained by ArmLur.am, members of the 'Civil Contract' party were conducting a campaign near the address of 4 Ghapanzyan Street. As a result, the party members approached the cafe located nearby and engaged in conversation with local residents.
The residents expressed their dissatisfaction with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, voicing opinions that were countered by the participants of the campaign. The cafe's patrons told them to leave and tore the flyers, which escalated into an argument, ultimately leading to a large brawl within the establishment.
The situation heated up to the extent that law enforcement intervened, detaining residents Gevorg Gevorgyan, Avetik Barseghyan, and Serob Sargsyan from the cafe. However, the atmosphere outside remained tense, prompting the chief of the Arabkir police department to rush to the scene.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 149.1, parts 2, subparts 3 and 4 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, and the case has been forwarded to the investigative department. A preliminary investigation is underway.
