Aliyev Declares That Kocharian, Sargsyan, and Khachaturov Will Soon Face Court in Baku, Says Artur Tonoyan

Geopolitical analyst Artur Tonoyan stated on his Facebook page: “Today, a member of the ruling ‘New Azerbaijan’ party announced in a live broadcast that Azerbaijan will do everything possible to ensure that the ongoing trials in their country do not only involve Armenians present there. Sahib Aliyev promised that soon they will bring former Armenian Presidents Robert Kocharian, Serzh Sargsyan, General Yuri Khachaturov, and several other generals, whose names have not yet been disclosed, before the court in Baku for prosecution according to Azerbaijani laws.

It is clear whom exactly they feel strongly against in Azerbaijan and why they are eager to see these individuals in Baku. It seems obvious who they are relying on when making such statements, but they may be overestimating both their own and his capabilities.”
