Suren Papikyan announced that two more electric trains will be imported to Armenia

Two new electric trains will be imported to Armenia. This was announced by Suren Papikyan, the acting Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and head of the board of the Civil Contract Party, during a rally in Gyumri.

“I participated in an event organized by the South Caucasus Railway company. We have accepted 27 state-of-the-art wagons, which have enhanced the rolling stock of the South Caucasus Railway. Furthermore, two more electric trains will be imported to Armenia in the near future. They will operate not only on the Yerevan-Batumi route but we must do everything possible to ensure that this train also serves the routes from Gyumri to Batumi and Gyumri to Tbilisi. Tourism in Armenia should not only involve our citizens traveling for leisure but also attract visitors from neighboring countries, coming to relax in Gyumri,” emphasized Papikyan.
