Muradov Will Take Sharp Actions if Our Captured Serviceman Is Not Returned Today, Says Boris Avagyan
Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov is negotiating today concerning the return of the captured Armenian serviceman and assures that our serviceman will be returned today. This was stated to ‘Hraparak’ by Colonel Boris Avagyan, who has close ties with Muradov.
“At the directive of the leadership of the Russian Federation, the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, with great efforts and utilizing all the resources of the Russian peacekeepers, is conducting negotiations, and he assures that within a few hours he will compel the Azerbaijanis to return our serviceman who was captured by them. They promise that they will take very sharp actions if this serviceman is not returned today,” said Avagyan.
It should be noted that while Muradov is negotiating with the Azerbaijani side regarding the return of our serviceman, acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is conducting an election campaign in the Aragatsotn region.
Previously, the Ministry of Defense released a statement that “on June 8, a contracted serviceman of the RA Armed Forces, Private A. Khatanyan, became disoriented due to fog and ended up in an area under the control of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. The statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense regarding A. Khatanyan being a saboteur does not correspond to reality.”
