Details from the Ministry Regarding the 11 Children Hospitalized
According to preliminary diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis, 11 preschool-aged children have been transferred to the "National Center for Infectious Diseases". Out of these, 4 children are in the intensive care unit, and their condition is assessed as moderate. One child has been discharged from the hospital, while the situation of the remaining 6 is considered satisfactory. This information was provided to "Armenian Time" by the spokesperson of the Minister of Health, Hripsime Khachatryan.
The aforementioned child was discharged with the consent of their parents. Doctors have assessed their health condition as satisfactory as well. The child will continue treatment at home under the supervision of a pediatrician.
No possible theories about the causes of the children's health issues are mentioned. According to Khachatryan, everything will be clear once the laboratory test results are obtained.
Reportedly, the hospitalized children are students of the private kindergarten "Winnie Pooh & Friends." The management of the kindergarten did not deny this but also did not provide further comments.
Upon calling the mobile number listed in the Spour Information System, we were answered by the kindergarten's deputy director, who mentioned that they were currently speaking with a doctor and could respond to our questions in an hour. For quicker responses, they suggested calling the kindergarten's landline. After hearing our inquiry, the kindergarten immediately disconnected the call and did not answer subsequent calls. An hour later, we were unable to reach the deputy director again.
