Azerbaijani Blogger Threatened and Pursued Again for Interview with Armenian Media

Azerbaijani video blogger Muhammad Mirzalin, who fled the country in hopes of escaping Azerbaijani persecution and is now seeking asylum in Nantes, France, has once again become a target of attacks. This time, the reason for the attacks is an interview he gave to Armenian media discussing the necessity of peace between the two nations and the actions of Azerbaijani authorities. Reports Armtimes.

The interview took place on May 31 with the CivilNet agency. In the interview, he stated, “You are Armenian, I am Azerbaijani; perhaps some will call us traitors in our countries, but that is not what matters. The important thing is that this conversation lays the groundwork for peace... After all, how long are we going to keep killing each other? This must come to an end. Ultimately, how many more of us must we kill?”

In another part of the interview, comparing the current Azerbaijani authorities to those in Armenia, Mirzalin mentioned that Armenians are a happy people because they are free. According to the blogger, Azerbaijan deceives itself by believing it has won the war.
