Armenia and Georgia Resume Rail Communication

Armenia and Georgia are resuming their rail communication that was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. On June 15, the first train will depart from Yerevan to Batumi.

This was announced by Georgia's Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Natia Turnava. “I want to say that the rail communication between Armenia and Georgia has been restored. The first train will depart from Yerevan to Batumi via Tbilisi on June 15. This means that tourists from our allied neighboring country will come to Georgia, our Black Sea resort destinations, our capital, and other tourist spots,” she stated.
