Prime Minister Pashinyan Reveals Updated Casualty Figures Amid Controversy

The number of casualties from the war in Armenia has reached 3,700, as stated by acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a pre-election campaign event in the Gegharkunik community of Armavir province.

“We assume that official figures will bring the number of our casualties up to 4,000. There are claims that Nikol took 5,000 people to be slaughtered. What is the purpose of increasing the casualty count? Is it their desire?” said Pashinyan.

According to him, there are still people desiring to incite a civil war.

It is noteworthy that on April 14, Pashinyan announced that the official confirmed count of casualties from the 44-day war in Artsakh stood at 3,621, with 321 individuals still missing. He also mentioned that these figures would not significantly change, indicating that the number of casualties would be around 4,000. Additionally, the number of wounded servicemen is approximately 11,000.
