Local Authorities Respond to Report of Horse Theft by Azerbaijanis
In an interview with a media outlet today, Khndzoresk community resident Hrahat Mesropyan reported that Azerbaijanis entered the village at night and stole his horse.
In response, the community administration of Tahe has released a statement asserting that Mesropyan's claim about Azerbaijanis entering the Khndzoresk community in the Syunik region and committing theft and disorder does not correspond to reality. The statement clarified that Mesropyan's horse crossed the border while grazing and is currently with the enemy.
Youths from the village, who are on duty day and night with the First Army Corps monitoring the borders, are outraged by their fellow villager's statement. Community leader Nerses Shadunts is currently in negotiations with the Russian command to secure the return of Hrahat Mesropyan's horse.
