Nikol Pashinyan Visits Abovyan's Forensic Medical Research Center
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Forensic Medical Research Center in the city of Abovyan, Kotayk Province today. Pashinyan toured the center and became acquainted with the working conditions.
Acting Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan presented the ongoing efforts to modernize forensic medical research centers in Abovyan and other cities in Armenia. Reportedly, changes are being made regarding the enhancement of refrigeration capacities, provision of laboratory capabilities, and the delivery of services that meet the necessary forensic standards.
Clarifications were provided to the Acting Prime Minister regarding the well-known footage from the Abovyan morgue that was released days ago. Currently, the bodies are located in the Martuni morgue. It was emphasized that the bodies are being stored under appropriate refrigeration conditions.
Pashinyan stressed that the government will be consistent in accelerating the reform of the system and in establishing the necessary professional and operational capabilities, instructing the responsible parties to keep the process in focus.
