Secret Meeting Held in Meghri, Russian Side Upset: 'Hraparak'
'Hraparak' newspaper reports: 'After Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Syunik in April, new details have emerged. During those days, the media reported that the US Ambassador to Armenia, Lynne Tracy, and the Prime Minister coincidentally spent the night at the same hotel in Syunik. It turns out this is not the whole story. They were not alone in the hotel; an Azerbaijani representative was also present at the meeting. Who exactly, is unknown to our sources.
The ambassador, while traveling to Syunik, picked someone up from the Azerbaijani position in the Vorotan area and took them to the hotel in her vehicle. The tripartite discussion revolved around the corridor from Syunik to Nakhchivan.
Immediately after this meeting, Azerbaijani forces launched an incursion into the area of the Black Lake. The Azerbaijani side envisions the corridor to be along the narrowest part of southern Armenia, the Ishkhanasar-Sisian-Nakhchivan section.
We were also informed that after the elite guests departed, Pashinyan's staff took the hotel cameras' DVRs and servers with them to ensure there were no leaks.
This meeting is also known to the Russian side, and they are reportedly upset that Armenia has been engaging with the US and Azerbaijan behind their back. They are convinced that Pashinyan is in direct contact with the Azerbaijanis.
