We Are Preserving Bones, Separate Jaw, Separate Premaxillary Bone: How Many Bodies Are at the Armavir Regional Department?
Refrigeration conditions or specific thermal conditions of the external environment cannot significantly affect the preservation of a corpse when they are decomposed. This was stated today at a press conference by Sergey Abgaryan, head of the Armavir division of the Forensic Medical Scientific Practical Center.
"Keeping them in refrigerators is more about emotional background, that we feel at ease knowing our guys are in the refrigerator. In reality, there is no preservation process occurring with corpses that have undergone such high levels of decay. The refrigerator merely slows down that process. We are preserving the bodies of our heroes, the remains which do not contain tissues. We are keeping bones, separate jawbones, separate premaxillary bones, separate femurs," he said.
The forensic doctor revealed that currently, there are 87 bodies and remains of 58 individuals at the Armavir Regional Department of the Forensic Medical Scientific Practical Center.
