Soldier Killed Due to Violation of Firearms Usage Regulations: Ministry of Defense

On May 24, at approximately 17:40, according to preliminary information, a conscript soldier from military unit N, Private Mkrtich Hovhannes Hovhannisyan, born in 2002 and called up in 2021/1, sustained a fatal gunshot wound due to a violation of firearms usage regulations. The incident occurred in the Shirak region.

An investigation is underway. The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia shares the heavy grief of this loss and extends its condolences to the family members, relatives, and comrades of Mkrtich Hovhannisyan.
