The Control of Black Lake by Azerbaijanis Poses Serious Danger: Tatoyan

The fact that Black Lake has come under the control of Azerbaijanis poses a serious danger, as it is the source of systems for irrigation and drinking water, said Armenia's Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan in a conversation with reporters.

Regarding Gegharkunik, he noted that there is a large pasture that has also come under Azerbaijani control. According to Tatoyan, there are serious problems related to water resources.

Commenting on the current situation, the Human Rights Defender stated: “We have two situations, the first being that Azerbaijani soldiers are physically present in our specific territories, and the second is that they are keeping the areas under observation within their sights. It is very troubling that the human rights component is not receiving adequate attention. In the context of delimitation and demarcation, we do not have the right to completely integrate everything into political and military components. We forget that there are people living there.”
