It’s Very Easy to ‘Throw Something Out’ in Front of Girls: Nikol Pashinyan
The interim Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, reiterated his desire for a pre-election debate with the country’s first and second presidents, accusing them of ‘throwing something out’ during their interactions.
“The electoral code stipulates that there should be a debate with all the top candidates on the electoral list,” Pashinyan said during a meeting with voters in the Ararat region, noting that it should take place live on public television.
Pashinyan had previously invited former presidents Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Robert Kocharyan to join him in a debate, as they lead the electoral lists. Kocharyan heads the “Armenia” bloc, while Ter-Petrosyan leads the “Armenian National Congress” list. However, they responded that they have nothing to discuss with a ‘traitor’.
Today, Pashinyan stated that this is a legal requirement. “We can stand face to face and determine who the traitor is, who the land-seller is, who the capitulator is. But they respond that they have nothing to debate. It is very easy to ‘throw something out’ in front of girls. If you lack the courage, you can bring those girls with you,” remarked the interim prime minister.
