World Postal Union Cancels Azerbaijan's Hate-Promoting Postal Stamps
The World Postal Union (WPU) International Bureau has decided not to register the postal stamps issued by Azerbaijan under "Azerbaijan 2020" in its database, as these stamps contradict the provisions of the Union's Convention and Rules of Conduct.
According to Armenpress, the Union has requested Azerbaijan to reconsider the issuance of these stamps.
Following the military aggression against Artsakh in 2020, the stamps issued by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan exhibited clear hatred and xenophobia against Armenians. Correspondence on this matter was forwarded to the Union by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of High-Tech Industry of the Republic of Armenia. In response, the WPU management informed the Armenian side about the aforementioned decision.
