Video: Why Are MPs Not in the Hall After Their Half-hearted Speeches? Allen Simonyan Questions

This morning, many MPs raised this issue, yet now they are not in the hall. I am surprised and perplexed as to why, after their tremulous speeches and half-hearted interventions this morning, they are not here now and why, if this issue interests them so much, they did not address it to the minister.

This was stated today by Alen Simonyan in the National Assembly, referring to MPs’ speeches regarding the presence of soldiers' bodies in the morgue of the tuberculosis hospital in Abovyan.

“Ms. Avanesyan, I have heard and seen you respond to this issue multiple times in the media, but I would like you to once again respond to the known incident at the Abovyan hospital morgue. Let our MPs who are not in the hall also hear it once more,” said Simonyan, giving the floor to acting Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan.

“We are witnessing a high emotional wave, which may be somewhat understandable, but I believe that in some ways it is a departure from rationalism by other circles,” Avanesyan stated.

According to the acting minister, a regrettable and very bad phenomenon has been registered, and all measures have been undertaken to ensure that responsible individuals are strictly punished.

Anahit Avanesyan noted that during the investigation, appropriate actions will be taken as something is clarified. She urged everyone to remain within the confines of the law.

“The entire system, the Forensic Medical Scientific Center, has provided the services of its dedicated doctors, paramedics, and forensic experts from the first day of the war to carry out this difficult task,” she said.
