VIDEO: Let her apologize, I will not apologize: Nazaryan refuses to retract 'idiotka' comment
Another incident occurred in the National Assembly today involving Vice-Speaker Lena Nazaryan. Following Independent MP Taguhi Tovmasyan's speech regarding the improper storage conditions of the bodies of fallen servicemen in potato sacks, Nazaryan referred to Tovmasyan as an 'idiotka.'
After the session, Lena Nazaryan told reporters that she does not intend to apologize to Taguhi Tovmasyan, as Tovmasyan was a member of the faction and at a critical moment chose to step back from her responsibilities.
"I am not going to apologize. Ms. Tovmasyan should apologize for being a member of the 'My Step' faction but actually acting not as a team and faction member but as a correspondent for her newspaper, attending faction meetings exclusively for that purpose. Let Taguhi Tovmasyan apologize for coming to our faction, our list, and slamming the door in our face at the first convenient moment, in order to go to the next list and gain benefits from there, and perhaps to pass to the next list," declared Lena Nazaryan.
