Teenagers Engage in Shootout with Police in Florida
A 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy opened fire on police officers with a stolen gun in Florida, USA. This was reported by ABC News.
It is reported that the children had escaped from a juvenile detention center and subsequently broke into another person's home, where they found weapons including an AK-47 assault rifle, a handgun, a shotgun, and numerous rounds of ammunition.
When law enforcement arrived at the house and demanded that the teenagers surrender, they opened fire on the officers. The girl then approached the police, aimed the weapon at them, and was shot during the ensuing exchange of gunfire. Afterwards, the boy surrendered.
Both children are facing charges of first-degree murder and attempted armed robbery.
