MP Snatches Journalist's Phone: Naira Zohrabyan

Armenian MP Naira Zohrabyan has reported an incident involving another MP allegedly snatching a journalist's phone. She stated, “The MP has just grabbed the phone of ‘Hraparak’ journalist Anush Dashtents and ‘fled’.”

The journalist was merely asking a question regarding Muratov's visit to Moscow.

“I am, of course, confident that the police will do nothing because this individual enjoys a 'double' immunity status. However, I continue to be surprised by the total silence of journalists’ rights advocates and human rights clubs who remain quiet, even when issues arise that pertain to freedom of expression, like the situation with Navalny in Moscow. Their silence is pronounced until reaching the hairdresser of Navalny, and they struggle to make an announcement to educate the literate segment of the nation,” she added.
